The real situation is considered an emergency in case of loss of control of the UAS which can lead to:
a) fatal injuries to third parties on the ground,
b) injuries to third parties in flight,
c) damage to critical infrastructure

The purpose of this Emergency Response Plan is to
a) limit the escalation effect of the emergency
b) fulfill the conditions to alert the competent authorities and entities
c) provide information and direction to those involved in the emergency

Please try to stay calm. If you're reading this, it probably means you can take action to limit escalation effects of an emergency. If you feel you are not up to it, call 112 directly.

Arnaud Laurencin is an independent drone operator, responsible for all aspects of drone flights, including emergencies. In case of emergency, you can reach him on his phones +32456382336 or +32472702518. If Arnaud Laurencin is not available, you can contact his resellers, Didier van Nes (Drone Parts Center) +32470381708 or Kristof Beirnaert (Droprise) +3251694052.

Here is some information and instructions if Arnaud Laurencin needs help or is not available to deal with the emergency situation. There are 3 chapters:drone out of control, victims, infrastructure damage. Start reading the chapter that needs the most immediate attention.

1. The drone is still out of control, the effects of the emergency can get even worse:

The DJI T30 is a heavy drone (it can weigh up to 77 kg depending on the cargo) that can cause serious injury to people or damage to infrastructure if it loses control. The drone's battery will only provide 20.5 minutes of maximum flight time and the drone can fly at maximum 36 km/h in all directions. The battery level and the position of the drone can be seen on the remote control.

The remaining battery percentage is visible in the upper right corner of the screen (45% in the example) and the position of the drone is symbolized by the red arrow. The map can be zoomed in or out by pinching or stretching two fingers on the screen. The view from the drone cameras is visible in the small frame at the bottom right. Tap the small frame to switch between map and camera in full screen mode.

IF THE REMOTE STILL SEEMS CONNECTED TO THE DRONE (the red arrow is moving or the camera view is on or the battery percentage is displayed) it is possible to shut down the engines and cause a forced landing by moving the joysticks towards the center of the remote controller, like this:

- ONLY DO IT IF YOU THINK IT IS LIMIT TO THE POTENTIAL EFFECTS OF THE EMERGENCY.

DO THIS ONLY IF YOU CAN SEE THE DRONE OR KNOW WHERE THE DRONE IS  (otherwise it could fall on people or critical infrastructure and increase the effects of the emergency).

IF THE EMERGENCY STOP DOES NOT WORK OR CANNOT BE PERFORMED, PLEASE DIAL 112  and tell them:

where you are,

where you think the drone is,

where you think the drone is heading and

how much range it has left

Remember that a battery will last a maximum of 20 minutes and the maximum speed is 36 km/h, so the maximum range is

12km at 100% battery

9.6 km at 80% battery

7.2 km at 60% battery

4.8 km at 40% battery

2.4 km at 20% battery

112 is the general emergency dispatching center in Europe. They will contact the police, for ground support as well as relevant airspace control towers who in turn will warn approaching aircraft that an uncontrolled drone is flying nearby.

2. Wounded or victims on the ground or in the sky

Follow first aid best practices to help injured people until medical assistance arrives.

https://www.wikihow.com/Do-Basic-First-Aid

A first aid kit is in Arnaud Laurencin's vehicle: a dark gray Ford Ranger pick-up with or Agriflight logos.

3. Damage to critical infrastructure

Damage to critical infrastructure mainly requires the intervention of specialized teams. Call 112 and wait for instructions.

Be aware of and deal with the potential side effects of the emergency (if the drone crashes on a road, it is important to report the accident quickly to prevent other vehicles from colliding with the crashed drone).

A 2 kg fire extinguisher is also in the vehicle. It can be used to contain the spread of a small fire.

DON'T DO THIS IF YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY IS IN DANGER

4. After the emergency

Having dealt with the growing effects of the emergency, there are still a few things to do.
